Remember that feeling of finding the perfect dress, only to have it gather dust in your closet a few months later? Yeah, me too. I was never a clothing hoarder, but I could also never throw my clothes convinced that I'd somehow magically fit back into my size 27 jeans someday. 🙈 I tried sharing some of them with my sisters, but I always thought I might fit in them some day and this actually filled my almirahs a lot. A lot of those dresses I adjusted using some matching fabrics so that I could wear them even when I was not the same body type that I was 5-6 years back. At that time, I thought what if brands actually made clothing that is versatile and are designed to fit different body types. Why they are made either for slim girls or for plus sized bodies. there are many women like me who have changing body weight due to changing locations, marriage and also pregnancy, should we just throw away all our clothes and keep buying new ones? That's when I had a lightbulb moment: What if there was a brand that actually cared about real women and their ever-changing bodies? A brand that made clothes that were versatile, comfortable, and didn't require a degree in fashion to fit? So, we decided to create Isthitos Apparels. As a fashion designer, I've always believed that fashion should be for everyone, regardless of their size, shape, or ability. We have all seen the statistics: the average fashion model is a size 2,while the average woman is a size 14. We have all heard the stories of people being shamed or excluded from fashion because of their size or ability and we all know the impact it can have on people’s self-esteem and mental health. I can say for a fact that not only me noticed this,let me take you down memory lane of when I started sewing but was dealing with low self esteem considering my small stature, it got bad that I couldn’t make dresses for myself because I was of the notion that it won’t fit well or come out nice but I was WRONG😁! Because everything later made sense. WHY ARE ALL OF THESE IMPORTANT: • it helps in promoting self-love and acceptance. • Also, helps in challenging the negative stereotypes and beauty standards that has been perpetuated for so long. Should we keep this matter privet in our society, or TV its good choice to broadcast?  Are we giving the power to women with this mentality or getting power from them?
